Third Generation Infrastructure Sharing

Third Generation Infrastructure Sharing

Third generation infrastructure are high speed optic fibre networks combined with spectrum based technologies such as LTE, 802.11AC and AD. This is the infrastructure built as a hybrid between wireless and optic fibre. It is the infrastructure for internet of things and will connect sensors, data centres and also drive big data. More sophisticated services include OTT players, internet e-commerce, mobile money etc. This is the beginning or phase one of fibre to the home (FTTH); the era of infrastructure sharing.

Below is the presentation given  by Andile at the 2013 FTTH Conference in Maropeng on third generation infrastructure.
