Investing in Nigeria

Nigeria has a population of 160 million and is a leading economy on the African continent. With regards to its ICT sector, it has the most competitive telecommunications market in the world and remains the largest mobile market in Africa.

In this video excerpt, Andile speaks about the Convergence Partners Communications Infrastructure Fund and the investment opportunities that exist in Nigeria.

A World Bank study states that there is a direct correlation between broadband infrastructure and GDP growth of middle and low-income economies. For every 10% increase in broadband infrastructure, an additional 1.3% is contributed to the GDP.

It is clear that ICT infrastructure is an explicit driver of economic development, and one that not only promotes productivity and innovation, but social integration as well.
